Originally from Long Island, New York, Joe Kustek has been immersed in the world of music since the age of 13, when he simultaneously began learning bass, guitar, and keyboard. Now based in Southwest Florida — where he's called home since 1991 — Joe has grown into a versatile musician and audio producer with decades of real-world experience behind the board and on the instrument. His musical roots run deep in Funk, Jazz, and Progressive Rock, drawing inspiration from iconic acts like Rush and Yes, and legendary players such as Jaco Pastorius, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, and jazz virtuoso Chick Corea. That rich musical foundation isn't just background — it directly shapes the way Joe approaches every recording session, bringing genuine musicianship and artistic understanding to the production process.
Joe's passion for audio production led him to formalize his craft at Unity Gain, a respected recording school right here in Fort Myers, Florida, where he studied everything from classic analog tape recording to modern digital techniques. That comprehensive training gave Joe a deep understanding of the entire signal chain — from microphone placement and acoustic treatment to mixing, mastering, and everything in between.
